The purpose of this research study is help us learn about what home child care providers in Western Massachusetts know about sleep and physical activity in children, what their current childcare practices are that relate to these behaviors, and what challenges they face to promote these behaviors. We hope that this study will help us identify some areas that we can target in future research.

We are looking for adults (18 years of age or older) that provide non-custodial, regular child care for one or more children in their home, and can read or write in English or Spanish, to participate in this research. If you agree to take part in this study, you will be asked to complete an online survey/questionnaire.  This survey/questionnaire will ask about what you know about childhood recommendations for sleep and physical activity, your current childcare practices around these behaviors, what challenges you have as a caregiver in promoting these behaviors, and about your own sleep health and physical activity levels. For your participation this study, you would be compensated with a digital gift card up to a $20 value.

If you would like more information or have questions about the study, you may contact the primary investigator, Christine St. Laurent (cstlaurent@umass.edu) or click on the 'Express Interest' button above!
